Description
MODMO is a e-mobility brand, formed by a passion for great design and a need for simplicity.
MODMO App is a powerful tool for Saigon e-bike riders, a comprehensive home for all the data, insights and customisations concerning your ride and your Saigon+ e-bike. From ride assessments to an anti-theft alarm system, our app offers a range of features, completing MODMO e-bike experience.

Goals
We must not simply build and design an app – we must design an experience: an intuitive, comprehensive, enhancing experience for our riders. To do so, we need to understand their behaviours and habits. And no less, we need the update the user interface to emerge from both the latest trends and expectations of our community in our brands’ values.
Scope of Work
The project was planned into 3 conventional phases:
In the Discovery phase, we first drafted the idea for the app in line with our main product, the eBike’s capabilities, along with others that aimed to build the community for our riders, and to helped them contact us should they need support of any kind.Â
Then we did our homework and conduct research to understand the core concept and user journey of similar commuting apps. We then would integrate our findings in our user journey and start to adapt and improve. Here our wireframes were built, and only then we moved to the next phase of design and animation.
Homepage
The Home page aims to be a comprehensive overview of what a rider needs to know of his bike in a glance, so that the user can easily access everything he or she needs.
In-depth activity statistics
Stats are always a must-have for any running or riding app. Here we integrated a system of stats for our user to track the details of his or her every ride, in particular and cumulation, including not only the distance, duration, speed, but also the calories burned, CO2 saved, battery’s charge throughout the whole ride. “Nil Adsuetudine Maius”, and we learned a great deal from many habit-enforcing programs in our research phase to implement a system of progress monitoring and to encourage our users to ride every day.
Worldwide Leaderboard and Connections
A comparison between the user’s rides and those of other MODMO users over a period of a week or all time.
Our users can also connect with each other and view others’ progress. Of course, if one prefers privacy, one can opt for not having one’s activity public.
Bike Configurations
Don’t want red for the side lights? We’ve got it covered. When it comes to lightings, the App allows full customization of the front light’s power and side lights’ color, providing even more style for our users’ rides.
